THE SLITS HELP CHLOE SEVIGNY CELEBRATE NEW CLOTHING LINE DURING FASHION WEEK
Actress Chloe Sevigny has always been pretty vocal about her love for legendary punk band THE SLITS, and now she claims that the girls were part of the inspiration behind her new clothing line for Opening Ceremony. She invited THE SLITS to perform at her party at Webster Hall in New York City last Monday night. The venue was packed from wall to wall and a sea of people crowded the door outside trying to get in. While THE SLITS rocked the house with their punky reggae style, Chloe and her friends danced in the front row. Celebrity sightings included the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Natasha Lyonne, SNL’s Seth Meyers and Andy Samberg with his date Joanna Newsom, and Ginnifer Goodwin. Opening Ceremony in SoHo is currently selling limited edition, handmade Slits t-shirts.

NEPTUNE TOURS OUT TO SXSW IN SUPPORT OF NEW ALBUM
NEPTUNE from Boston, MA initially began as a sculpture project and played its first show in a basement in December of 1994. Currently NEPTUNE is a three piece that has been known to collaborate with other musicians and artists and usually always play homemade or modified instruments. Their brand of music is noisy and uncombed, a concoction of busted garage and incorrect math using instruments made from bike parts, saws, old metal chairs, springs, light switches, gas pipes, oil drums, and other debris found in the trash.
