TO PREVIEW NEW GUITAR-DRIVEN DIRECTION
January 16, 2008 (New York, NY) Alice Peacock just can’t get enough of the road. She’s already been on a non-stop tour for the past year in support of her highly acclaimed record “Who I Am,” and she’s just decided to extend the gauntlet, adding dates stretching from the Midwest to the Northeast.
“Who I Am” was recorded to live tape at Hollywood’s Sound Factory, rather than being built piecemeal on a computer as most albums are nowadays. Alice and the band felt that this lent an immediacy and intimacy to the record that is inimitable. It creates an authenticity to the performances which is entirely unique and helps the record to stand alone alongside other efforts by artists in the singer-songwriter vein.
Alice will be debuting a fistful of new songs that she is currently recording for her next record. the sound is more guitar driven and fans of Roseanne Cash and early Linda Ronstadt recordings, should be pleases.
Don’t miss out on the live dates:
